Men), Nov. 1998 Full report is available here: PDF We were alerted to this report recently (11/14/02) by thought-provoking analysis on the issue of "husband-battering" by blogger "Alas, a blog". His basic conclusion is that there is significant evidence that women face much more abuse and battering than men, contrary to claims by men's rights groups that they are subject to fairly equal amount of abuse as women are. We highly recommend not only the report above but also his article/blog. For the sake of clarity we highlight below the main results of the DOJ-CDC study. We have directly reproduced some of the conclusions and figures from this landmark study to emphasize the key conclusions. Among other things, this study shows that in domestic partner violence, women bear the brunt of the rape and physical assault. Violence against Women
